If you are going to be sitting in my neck of the woods and want more info on the local area.....restaurants, site seeing, great winerys... or if you would like to meet another housesitter just for company, I propose posting a message title like this....say CONTACT (local area)
mine is CONTACT (Niagara area, Canada)
perhaps we can help one another by making you feel at home as you housesit, and having a local resource can't hurt!
I would love to get to know the hidden gems in places I am going to housesit and instead of sifting thru tons of forum titles, a special section would be helpful! Or at least if you want to promote your region do the "CONTACT" message title and eventually I bet we'll have a great collection of helpful locals willing to share their knowledge!

Cheryl

Many times I have too many house sitting opportunities and no one to refer homeowners to. Do you have the same problem?
I am an online marketer and my fun (work, job) is to promote websites.

Housesitters: get your very own website where you can post your references, your availabilities, your experience, have people sign your guestbook, share pictures and anything you want!

Here's what I'll do for you:

1) Set up your website and/or blog
2) Teach you to update info by yourself - so you don't need to depend on anyone!

I will help you get started with your housesitting services website.

What you need to do for me:

1) Cover for your own web related costs ($4-$8/mo)
2) Have a link to one of my blogs.

To help you cover for the cost of the website, I'll show you ways to earn money by promoting your website.

Want your own website?
Are you interested in getting your book on animals reviewed? I love animals, so will definitely respond well to any animal-related stories or/and non-fiction. Check out my (Lois Henderson) reviews published online by the Midwest Book Review. I'm also interested in writing stories/poems about animals, so if you would like me to petsit your animal(s) and write about them, please get in touch. Though based in South Africa, I'm open to travel (and have a British passport) at my own expense for sits of three weeks or more.

The House Sitter's Guide is all about world-wide travel on a small budget. It explains in detail how to eliminate housing costs, the most expensive part of living overseas. By living rent free, the time spent traveling may be expanded and the time devoted to working greatly reduced, creating a more rewarding life.
Following the steps outlined in The House Sitter's Guide can even lead to an entirely new career as a full-time world traveler. And the joy is that even while you are shedding expenses that hold you back from exploring the world, you are helping home owners in taking their own dream vacation.
Just picking up a copy of The House Sitter's Guide will give you ideas on dodging what Kathy and Tom call "the money trap." The concepts may forever change the way you think about work, money, home and life completely.

House Sitter's Guide
